Alexie Better
Alexie is a teacher and the founder of the Better MultiSensory Learning Centre. She has over 17 years’ experience working as a specialist tutor, developmental educator, student counsellor, and supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and Specific Learning Difficulties.
Alexie works with children, adolescents, and adults who present with a wide variety of learning challenges. She is committed to helping students and individuals from the age of 5 years.
Alexie is an NDIS-accredited Developmental Educator with extensive experience as both an ABA therapist and a specialist tutor for students with severe learning difficulties.
Alexie also specialises in supporting students in the later years of high school who are seeking a pathway to tertiary education. For new students, Alexie provides literacy and numeracy assessments.
As an adolescent counsellor, she provides practical support for struggling students, parents, and teachers in schools.
Annie Di Censo
Annie Di Censo is a counsellor, ADHD Coach and Multisensory Literacy Educator with over 8 years’ experience supporting children with learning differences, including ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. She holds a Master of Counselling and has completed ADHD Coach training with ADDCA.
Annie provides literacy and numeracy support for children in years 1-10. Annie also incorporated executive functioning coaching and mental health and wellbeing strategies in sessions. She is passionate about helping young people feel confident, capable, and supported at school.
Andrea McGregor
Andrea has 30 years’ experience working with children and teens in mainstream and specialised educational settings both here in Australian and in USA.
With a background in Victorian school education, she engages with schools and teachers to encourage collaboration and inclusive practices to benefit the individual needs of her students.
Rosemary Montalto
Rosemary has 15 years of teaching experience in Victorian high schools teaching English and Humanities. She brings a wide variety of experiences to her developmental education practice.
Rosemary has developed a special appreciation for the art of reading and writing after having personally witnessed the very real struggles learners have with the written and spoken word. Her appreciation for this struggle led her to the multisensory explicit approach to learning, and her belief that the establishment of firm foundations as early as possible will significantly improve educational standards and, thus, success in later years.
Sharon Panou
Sharon has over 25 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education. Sharon believes that every child has the right to learn and she holds a strong desire to help others.
Sharon has worked in schools in various teaching and leadership positions and as a tutor in private practice. She delights in equipping pre-school children with early literacy skills to be school-ready from an early age.
Isabella Murdica-Cowie
Isabella is currently completing her bachelor’s in education.
After experiencing firsthand within her own family the challenges faced at school by children with learning needs, Isabella is dedicated to supporting all students to learn.
Jane Read
Jane has 40 years of experience working in education, both as a primary teacher, academic, and specialist educator.
With a strong background in health education, Jane takes into account the personal needs of learners whilst enabling students in their learning.
Graham Van Damme
Graham is a highly experienced Mathematics educator at Better Multisensory Learning, specialising in senior secondary Mathematics, including Units 3 & 4 VCE General Mathematics.
With over 25 years of industry experience prior to entering the teaching profession, Graham brings real-world application and practical insight into every lesson. He currently teaches at a leading independent secondary school in Melbourne, allowing him to remain closely aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE assessment requirements.
Graham holds a Master of Teaching (Secondary), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mining Engineering. As a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), he is qualified to deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned instruction from Year 7 through to VCE.
Graham is passionate about empowering students to build confidence and mastery in numeracy, believing that when students understand numbers, they unlock the confidence to shape their own future.
Jana Cronin
Jana is a qualified primary teacher with three years of classroom experience, following several years in education support with a strong focus on literacy intervention. She holds a Master of Teaching (Primary) and has completed Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham Basic Training, supporting evidence-based literacy instruction for students with learning difficulties and dyslexia.
Jana is passionate about building students’ confidence in their literacy skills through structured, multisensory approaches. She is committed to creating a supportive environment where every child can experience success.
Leonie Quinn
Leonie is an Autism specialist who has worked as a specialist educator in special needs schools in the United States for several years.
Leonie is passionate about supporting students and their learning journey, while tailoring learning to meet the individual needs of each student.
George Mack
George is the Practice Manager at the Better MultiSensory Learning Centre.
George co-ordinates the psychology services offered at the Centre. He oversees the day-to-day operation of the practice and the ongoing development of systems that help the Centre deliver high-quality services.
