Study Skills and Exam Preparation
Study Skills and Exam Preparation Program
The program has been developed to teach primary students, secondary students and young adults how to prepare for high school and into university.
Students learn how to annotate novels, articles, worded questions, prepare summaries, make key notes and learn how to write study notes.
The program also teaches students to understand meta-language which can aid in the understanding of the English language. For example: similes, metaphors, euphemises and idioms. There are more than 2,000 idioms contained within the English language and for some students a lack of knowledge of these idioms makes it difficult to infer subtle meanings when reading text.
The program also prepares students for the different testing styles and inquiry techniques applied in tests and exams.
