Experience
Poh is a registered educational and developmental psychologist as well as an art therapist. She received her undergraduate and post-graduate psychology qualifications from the University of Melbourne and her Master of Art Therapy from La Trobe University.
Poh provides assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders, such as ADHD, learning disorders (such as dyslexia) and autism. Poh’s assessment approach is holistic and thorough. It aims to understand the whole person and how various factors, including individual traits, situational factors and personal experiences, may combine to impact behavioural outcomes.
Poh uses her knowledge of therapeutic approaches in the fields of neurodivergence, trauma and systems models to inform her assessments and provide intervention recommendations to clients. She is a certified EMDR practitioner with an interest in IFS (internal family systems), behaviour management, parent skills training and neuromodulation techniques.
Poh has worked in the therapeutic field for more than twenty years in many settings, including schools, residential facilities and community centres.
